COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
TUBING, GLASS (Laboratory Use)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers standard wall borosilicate glass tubing for laboratory use.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be standard wall glass tubing for laboratory use. The cross section of the glass tubing shall be round.
Shall be fabricated from borosilicate glass conforming to Type I and Class A requirements in ASTM E-438 (Standard Specification for Glasses in Laboratory Apparatus).
Shall be furnished in 48 inch lengths with tolerance of +/- 1/2 inch. The ends of the glass tubing shall be cut and may be fire-polished.
Shall be furnished with the following millimeter (mm) size outside diameters and wall thicknesses (see “Ordering data” paragraph)/
