COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
PIPET, SEROLOGICAL (Kahn)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This Commercial Item Description covers borosilicate glass Kahn serological pipets.
Salient characteristics:
Shall be borosilicate glass Kahn serological pipets for use in laboratory procedures.
Shall be Style I for the following ASTM Designation E1044 Kahn milliliter capacities 0.1 ml, 0.2 ml, 0.25 ml, and 0.60 ml.
Shall be in accordance with all the applicable requirements of ASTM Designation E1044 for style I as applicable to Kahn pipets (see “Ordering data”).
Shall be tested for volumetric accuracy to meet the requirements of the College of American Pathologists (see Quality Assurance Provisions).
Workmanship. The pipets shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair their serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing eighteen (18) pipets of the size specified, constitutes one unit.
