TIP, PIPET, Plastic, Disposable
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a plastic, disposable, pipet tip for use with the Medical Laboratory Automation, Inc., Model Electra 750, Plasma Coagulation Timer Unit (NSN 6630-01-126-9960).
Salient characteristics:
Shall be a plastic, disposable, pipet tip suitable for dispensing precise volumes of coagulation reagents when attached to the precision pipets furnished with the Plasma Coagulation Timer Unit (NSN 6630-01-126-9960).
The pipet tip shall fir the incubator well of the Plasma Coagulation Timer unit (6630-01-126-9960).
The pipet tip shall be made of polypropylene material having non-wetting characteristics to assure complete dispensing of liquid reagents, and an optical clarity that is sufficient for visual checking the volumetric level of a liquid that has been drawn into bore of the tip.
The volumetric capacity of the pitpet tip shall be 200 microliters, designed so that when filled with liquid positioned vertically along the diametral axis, the liquid does not make contact with the nozzle of the pipet.
Workmanship. The pipet tip shall be free from defects which detract from their appearance or impair their serviceability.
Unit. Package (PG). One package containing 1000 tips, as specified, constitutes one unit.
Quality Assurance Provisions.
Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection, examination, and test requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved’ by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections, examinations, or tests set forth in this description where such inspections, examinations, and tests are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
Records. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Government’s request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate.
